When it comes to contract manufacturing of large components, Horst Jung GmbH & Co. KG is the place to go. Our specialty is the machining of medium-sized and large individual parts and small-batch series. We machine workpieces weighing up to 160 tons, with diameters of up to 16 m and heights of up to 10 m. Our powerful machines and experienced specialists guarantee precision up to the smallest detail – even when the dimensions are gigantic. Thanks to cutting-edge turning technology, advanced mechanics and customized manufacturing processes, we deliver quality which customers from the mechanical engineering, energy, and plant construction industries have relied on for decades.

MILLING

With over 40 years of experience, we precisely meet all technical specifications. Using state-of-the-art milling technology, the latest tools, and a wide selection of milling heads, we are able to handle particularly large and heavy workpieces.

Milling Expertise for Large Dimensions

When it comes to the milling of large workpieces, every detail matters. And that’s exactly where our strengths lie: With modern CNC milling machines, highly qualified personnel and decades of know-how, we precisely and efficiently handle even complex workpieces with huge dimensions. Our machines are designed for high flexibility and large dimensions of up to 20 m in length and 7 m in height – ideal for individual pieces, pre-machining, or dedicated drilling operations. 

Our customers rely on us to machine heavy components precisely down to hundredths of a millimeter – efficiently, reliably, and at the highest technical standards.

Large-part machining in the heart of Siegerland

We are Horst Jung GmbH & Co. KG – your specialist in the machining of large and heavy components. Each of the 200 to 250 workpieces we machine every year is a one-off or part of a small series, either newly manufactured from raw parts or professionally refurbished as components in need of repair. Everything is powered by electricity from 100% renewable energy sources.

Our History

1985

Founding of Horst Jung GmbH & Co. KG

1985-1986

Acquisition of real estate and various large-scale machines, construction of our current main production hall, and purchase of drilling, milling, and turning machines.

1989-1990

Expansion of the main production hall and purchase of a new vertical lathe: Schiess-Froriep 80 DV single-column carousel lathe (16 meters diameter, 10 meters turning height).

1997

Acquisition of the SKJT 80–160 single-column vertical turning lathe.

2008

Energy-efficient refurbishment of existing buildings.

2011

Acquisition of a new 160-ton two-bridge crane.

2013

Purchase of the CKD SKDY 63-80D double-column vertical lathe and modernization of a SKODA W250HC HCW3 drilling machine.

2018

Acquisition of a Waldrich Siegen vertical machine ProfiTurn V5000/100-Y.

2023

Commissioning of a 197 kWp PV system, primarily for self-consumption.

2025

Order of a new horizontal drilling machine HCW2-200, transition to 100% renewable electricity.
